Donna Bordeleau is an Information Technologist II at GSC. She has 15 years of IT Help Desk experience, 3 years in corporate and 12 years in academic settings including Notre Dame College, St. Anselm College and of course Granite State College. She graduated from GSC a few years ago with a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Technology.
Many of you probably recognize Donna by her voice if you have ever called GSC IT Help. She is one of the GSC staff members who answers the Help Desk calls and replies to help requests submitted online. What you might not know about Donna is that if she isn’t at her desk assisting faculty or students with online courses or setting up accounts, you might find her on any one of our campuses setting up computers and multi-media equipment in the computer labs…or assisting staff with computers or printers that aren’t behaving!
|“the IT Help site has a lot of documentation for both faculty and students.”||Donna explains, “because our staff are sometimes at different locations around the state, it is important to provide resources on the web so students or faculty might be able to find the answer themselves. We have created the IT Help site which has a lot of documentation for both faculty and students.” In addition to documentation, you can find the hours of operation, phone numbers and a link to an online Help Request form which is monitored by several staff members daily.|
When asked about the most common technical issues that she needs to assist people with she said:
Advice for faculty and students
For the fastest service, Donna recommends that if you are leaving a message or submitting a help request give as much information as possible including: name, username, full course name & number, phone number where you can be reached, email address, and a brief description of the issue.
