The Managing Your Moodle Course area provides information to help you get your course ready to teach: course settings, course availability, enrolling guests and others, and information about participants/users, plus documentation on how to backup a course and import parts of another course.
To copy a course from one eLearning+ Moodle course to another, you will use the Import feature.
The Moodle Report feature allows you to generate reports on student activity in your course.
As part of our ongoing initiative to support faculty teaching online, we have made several reports available within Moodle to all course instructors.
While the last day of ever module ends on Sunday as a standard, the last week of the course will end on Friday. This date will need to be manually edited.
Course settings control how the course appears to the participants in a course. These are the things instructors may consider modifying:
- Course Format – choose from Topics format or Weekly format.
- Number of weeks/topics
- Maximum upload size, if you feel that your students will be uploading large files
For most other settings, it may be best, although not required, to accept the defaults.
Backing up a course A course can be saved with some or all of its parts by using the course backup. A teacher with editing privileges can create a backup or download an existing backup for safe keeping, or for use on another Moodle site.
